Baobab Bottle Tree stands as a vertical marker of memory, protection, and migration. The steel armature swells at its midsection and narrows as it rises, echoing the silhouette of the baobab while remaining visibly fabricated. The structure does not conceal its welds or joints; it declares them.

Cobalt bottles extend from the upper branches, catching light and holding it. In Southern yard traditions, bottle trees function as spiritual traps and guardians. Here, they operate as both signal and archive. The glass punctuates the steel with color and fragility, interrupting the severity of the frame.

The mulch establishes a ground condition. It situates the work somewhere between sculpture and site, between monument and living marker. The piece considers how forms travel across continents and generations, carrying protection, belief, and structure with them.
